Biography
Gregory Hardy uses large, thick brush strokes and bright colors to depict the natural world of his native Canada. This leading landscape painter was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1950, Hardy, a self-taught painter, began exhibiting in galleries in 1974. You can find his work in private, corporate and public collections. He uses an almost physical application of paint to create his powerful landscape paintings which evoke the diverse color and energy one feels in the undeveloped outdoors. Hardy is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts and his work is shown and held in many private and corporate collections.
