Made in the USA and about the USA. But what tremendous possibilities and divergence exist in the identity of this nation! The American flag framework provides structure for explorations of color and texture, landscape and figuration, politics, multiculturalism and art history. The works occupy a hybrid space. Possibility and artistic freedom are at their core.
Additional series of paintings featured on this site tell a larger story. The Mid Century America series, the Cocktail Party series and the Lakeside Leisure series focus on the need for respite and play.
Another section of the portfolio includes works influenced by social media and the digital age. This section includes Collapsed Contexts and Nothing is the New Everything. These address how social media creates disjointed narratives.
