Sarah Schlesinger (b. 1988, Pennsylvania) received an MFA from New York Academy of Art in 2015 after receiving her BFA from Taylor University in 2010. Her work often depicts mysterious landscapes from unique viewpoints and with a distinctive dark pallet. Her limited colors and subtle contrast invites the viewer to look deeply to investigate shape and form that might be missed on first glance. Schlesinger is a recipient of a 2015 Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant, and the 2015-2016 Chubb Postgraduate Fellowship at New York Academy of Art. Schlesinger’s work has been exhibited in New York, Miami, Oslo, Brussels and Mexico City. Schlesinger lives and works in New York City.
